Phillips Collaborative (PC) is thrilled to launch Office Hours, a new initiative designed to create a learning collective for school administrators, teachers, and educational leaders. Facilitated by Milyna Phillips, Lawrence Alexander, and Jini Rae Sparkman, this free listening forum serves as an incubator of ideas, providing real-time guidance and support to address pressing issues affecting school communities.

During these share what works sessions, leaders will collaborate on a wide range of topics, including:

  • Enrollment management anti bias strategies to operationalize equity ation in school communities
  • College counseling navigating post affirmative action decision realities
  • Teaching and learning innovations to improve student experiences
  • Retention and recruiting strategies for building a strong, diverse faculty
  • Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Justice, and Belonging (DEIJB) initiatives to antiracist and safe environments for everyone
  • Election fright and strategies for navigating political polarization in school communities

The 2024-2025 school year presents unique challenges for educators. Data indicates that teachers are particularly concerned with addressing learning gaps caused by the pandemic, combating burnout, and managing the increasing political polarization within classrooms and schools. PC’s Office Hours series will focus on tackling these real-world problems of practice and empowering educational leaders with the tools and insights needed to thrive during these turbulent times.
